White Spotlight: Cheapeness

Ok, something that I've always seen that's nice about white is it's cheap enchantments/creatures. Although it isn't quite as cheap as some of the creatures green can get out, it does pretty well for itself getting out lots of small guys really fast and then using cheap enchantments like concerted effort and something chorus to make them suddenly not so small and puny creatures.
So white gets stuff out fast. This is the first part of its strategy. Getting stuff out fast and consistently allows it to develop its middle/end-game strategies that help make this more worthwhile. Sliver decks are incredible this way; it seems for every card you play it ends up affecting a whole lot more than it should. Stuff like something catapult and crossbow infantry can let your small guys take on the big ones and remain unhurt.
White is also incredible at blocking. Righteousness (spelling check), an example of this, costs one white mana and gives target blocking creature +7/+7 until end of turn. That means your puny 2/2 veteran cavaliers can defend against some huge 8/8 monster and escape unscathed. Using damage prevention spells/abilities gives even more of a boost. ok I've got to go right now, so I'll ad more later. Like tommorow or something.
